Getaway 2006

This year's summer conference was great. Our students were very challenged in their faith and made some solid decisions for the future. God is already using them as they walk in faith and share Christ with people around them. Each night after outreach there were multiple stories of someone accepting Christ out on Myrtle Beach. God is truly raising up a generation of students who love and follow Him. Pray that their fire will continue and that they may continue to share as boldly in Loveland as they did in Myrtle Beach. 

Amazing Year #2 - Our Second Anniversary

Ashley and I just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary and we had a great time together. We started off by taking pictures together beside the ocean (thanks to Paul) and we got quite a few really good shots. These two years have definitely flown by, its crazy to think about really. We went on a dolphin watching cruise, and ate at a nice seafood restaurant here in VA Beach. It was a great time for us to connect and begin to wind down together from the crazy Getaway conference that we just had with our students. I love Ashley and all that she does, I am very thankful to have her as my wife. I can't imagine how much I will love her more as each year goes by.

World's Largest Sand Soccer Tournament - VA Beach

Every year Virginia Beach has the world's largest sand soccer tournament. 730 teams compete in their different levels and about 23,000 are on the beach for the weekend. Two of my favorite things, talking to people about Christ and playing soccer. Well, I got to do both. We handed out World Cup DVDs and Tim Howard DVDs and talked to a lot of people about Christ. Well, while I was talking to this one group of guys about Christ they said they needed some more players and so they picked up one of my students and me. We learned a lot in the first game and actually scored quite a few goals after that to help the team. We went all the way to the championship and got second place in the men's division. It was a blast, and a really cool opportunity to see God still use my athelticism for His glory.
